Enchanting Winter Wonderland Ball

A winter's blast came early to the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham last Saturday evening as the Horton Suite was transformed into an Enchanted Winter Wonderland.

The transition was achieved by using our new pipe and base system and LED star cloth around the entire suite, a selection of our Winter Wonderland dressing and our new LED tree table centres.

The event was a fundraising dinner for the George Coller Memorial Fund - a grassroots charity started by Kim Douglas BM after George, her son tragically died in 1996 from an asthma attack. 260 guests attended the black-tie dinner and heard how the charity had ensured that all schools now have access to emergency medication and guidance for helping children who have an asthma attack at school.

Andy Townsend, the charity's patron, also spoke about the devotion and total commitment of all those who gave their time voluntarily to the cause. He then went on to present medals to both volunteers and those who had gone above and beyond. For the benefit of Birmingham City supporters attending he went onto explain what winning medals were!

Relley C singing on stage at the George Coller Ball

It was far from a frosty event as guests were soon up dancing to the searing sounds of

X-Factor's Relley C and afterwards to Kris Kennedy who ensured a packed dance floor until well into Sunday morning.

We have been immensely privileged and proud to have supported the charity since 2006 with this year’s event once again being extremely well received.
