Our new Great Gatsby props have proved to be a hit this year with over four Gatsby events held over as many months. The most recent Great Gatsby outing saw our very own themes expert Charlotte Banner deliver an epic Great Gatsby event at the National Museum Cardiff for the Redrow Homes annual Christmas Party.
Overlooked by the balconies above we centralised a black and white dance floor, a tiered stage with LED nosing and a 12ft high backdrop in Art deco style and shape within the Grand Hall.
Balloons hung from the top balcony at varying heights were lit from all angles to create an unusual centrepiece and one that guests loved! We also included a mirror ball to really bring the venue and balloons to life.
At both ends of the museum stood a marble staircase, at the bottom of which we placed our bespoke Art Deco Doorways, red carpet and ropes & posts for a glamorous entrance to dinner, with guests snapped by the paparazzi.
A Gatsby Jazz Band played during dinner once the Charleston girls had kicked off the evening.
We designed and manufactured a picture frame for guests to photograph each other wearing the 1920’s props within the Art Deco surround.
After dinner and their annual awards guests were entertained by the DJ and casino tables, which are always a hit. With only 3 hours to install we’re really pleased with how the venue was transformed and loved our ‘night at the museum!’
